Bear Trap No. 6

The No. 6 Bear Trap weighs an incredible 48 pounds and is 46 inches long, with a jaw spread of 17 inches.

The chain has a swivel and a large ring just like the old traps.

This trap commemorates the American Fur Company, which was second in size only to Hudson's Bay Company in the 1800's.

The pan reads "AMERICAN FUR AND TRADE COMPANY HBC NO. 6"

Bear Trap No. 15

The No. 15 Bear Trap weighs 24 pounds and is 36 inches long with spread of 12 inches.

The cast jaws are offset and have teeth.

The heavy chain has a swivel and a large ring like the old traps.

The pan on the No. 15 reads Denali Fur and Trade Company No. 15

Each trap has its own serial number.

The serial number is stamped on the right hand side of the frame.

The no. 6 starts with AFT, and the No. 15 starts with MDF.

(We put the No. 6 next to the No. 15 to show the difference in the sizes of the two traps.)
